That was the question that sparked the beginning of CraftedEyewear.
We started not with a product, but with a belief:

The Founder’s Story: From Factory Floor to Brand Vision
CraftedEyewear was founded by Lena Wu, a second-generation entrepreneur born into a family that had been manufacturing eyewear for over 25 years in southern China.
Growing up, Lena spent her summers at her family’s eyewear factory — watching artisans carve acetate sheets, polish temple arms, and inspect lens curvature under microscopes. She saw firsthand the value of precision, patience, and pride in craftsmanship.
But as she got older, Lena also saw something troubling:
A growing industry filled with cheap, copycat products, over-marketed “designer brands,” and factories pushed to produce more for less, often at the cost of quality, sustainability, and dignity.
She asked:
What if we could do it differently?
What if we reconnected consumers with the craftsmanship behind each frame?
What if we made stylish, premium eyewear accessible — and ethical?
What if we helped people wear something that actually meant something?
With that, CraftedEyewear was born — not just a brand, but a statement of intent.
